Driving directions from the Children's Hospital to the Ronald McDonald House
- From the parking lot at Children's Hospital, make a RIGHT onto Sherwood Avenue.
- Make a LEFT onto Hermitage Road at the light.
- At the intersection of Hermitage Road and W. Broad Street, the name of Hermitage Road turns into Meadow Street.
- Go straight through the light onto Meadow Street and continue forward for two blocks.
- Make a RIGHT onto Monument Avenue.
Driving directions from the McGuire Veterans Medial Center (VA Hospital) to the Ronald McDonald House
- Leave the VA Hospital's parking lot and cross over Hull Street
- Drive straight on Route 161 North. This road is winding, but simply stay on the main road for approximately 15-20 minutes.
- Cross over the "Nickel Bridge." There is a 25 cent toll and a nice view of the James River.
- Stay on the main road as it weaves through Byrd Park/Carillon area.
- Pass the tennis courts. Route 161 is now called The Boulevard.
- Keep in the right hand lane and go through seven or eight lights.
- Make a RIGHT onto Monument Avenue (by the monument of a man on a horse, the Stonewall Jackson monument). You cannot miss it; it's in the middle of the road).
- Stay in the LEFT lane and go down four blocks to Strawberry Street.
- Make a U-turn here because of the median strip.
- The Ronald House is the 9th house on the right.
Driving directions from all points north of the Ronald McDonald House
- From Interstate 95 South, take the Boulevard exit
- At the bottom of the exit ramp, make a RIGHT onto The Boulevard
- Continue straight until you reach the intersection of West Broad Street and The Boulevard. There is a CVS drug store on the left and a 7-11/Citgo on the right
- Make a LEFT onto West Broad Street
- Travel about four blocks and make a RIGHT onto Strawberry Street. There is an Arby's cowboy hat sign on the corner
- Go two blocks and make a RIGHT onto Monument Avenue
- The Ronald House is the 9th house on the right.
